【中文摘要】 本文探讨了明清昆曲《西厢记》音乐成果，目的是尝试着将明清昆曲《西厢记》之音乐进行初步的梳理和研究，探析明清昆曲《西厢记》的历史演进概况和音乐价值。力求多角度、多视野地探讨明清昆曲《西厢记》音乐。 全文共分五章十二节，第1章“绪论”：对本文研究的目的和意义、研究范围和内容、研究的方法和局限性等方面进行了较详尽的阐述；第2章“历史”：把明清昆曲《西厢记》置身于当时社会、经济环境和演唱艺术的发展历史中，呈现出独领风骚、兴盛流播的发展状况；第3章“曲牌”：总结曲牌分布的特点，探究曲牌的来源，从中看出，其音乐与前代音乐有着一脉相承的关系；第4章“特色”：总结了乐调与“合唱”的特色，可以看出，明清昆曲《西厢记》音乐有着较高艺术成就，创作手法与现今创作手法相差无几，对后来的戏曲音乐创作具有一定借鉴和启迪意义；第5章“行当”：探讨“旦角”、“生角”在剧中的形象及部分曲牌运用，体现出明清昆曲《西厢记》音乐词采精美、唱腔悠长婉转、表演美奂美仑的神韵和风采，堪称中国古典戏曲史上最经典的作品之一。

【英文摘要】 This paper mainly discuss about the musical achievement of mingqing kun song, 'xixiangji' , in order to have a initial research into the kun song and a better understanding of its historical development and value in music.
